where to go next

Adding a twist to how and where we can view art, Where To Go Next exhibits  photos from my book, Occupied. The photos were displayed in the very space they were created – the bathroom. The exhibit originated during the 2023 Month of Photography in 18 locations across the city of Denver and featured images of 22 urinals, many of which are still hanging. The venues ranged from galleries, to cafes, restaurants, and bars.

Each photo was displayed along with the experiential data I collected for each location and included a QR code which took people to wheretogonext.is and allowed them to log their own data of their experience in that bathroom. Additionally people were able to explore a map of the bathrooms featured in the exhibit as a well as a link to purchase prints and the book.

I hope to continue to expand this project to new locations in more cities. If you have a bathroom that needs art, let’s talk.
